Under the guidance of Assistant Professor Annuska Zolyomi, my team developed an Android application designed to support individuals with dementia and their caretakers.
The application uses thoughtfully designed prompts, sounds, and photos to simulate reminiscence therapy, helping residents revisit meaningful memories and share them with family members.
My role focused on UI design and UX research, where I assisted and provided feedback to my teamate to create the UI dementia care patients would interact with. These were to ensure the experience was accessible, engaging, and supportive. Check out our design on Figma!

StoryPath was my first experience working as part of a real team to bring an app from an idea to a launch. Working alongside more experienced teammates gave me the opportunity to learn what the design and development process looks like in a real-world environment. I learned how important communication, collaboration, and being open to feedback are when working toward a shared goal.
Being part of the process also helped me understand that launching an app involves much more than just designing the interface. I got to see how different team members contribute their expertise, how ideas change throughout development, and how everyone works together to solve problems. This experience gave me a better understanding of the product development process and helped me become more confident contributing my own ideas while learning from others.
